Indian wins Mr. Asia 2016 title

G. Balakrishna, a 25 years old youngster, of India was crowned Mr. Asia 2016 at 5th Phil-Asia bodybuilding championships Fitness Championships held at Philippines. Balakrishna, works as a water tanker driver in bengaluru practises almost six hours a day was trained by champions Sangram Chougla of Mumbai and Munish Kumar who hails from Punjab.

After winning the Mr. Asia Title G Balakrishna told that, “I am proud of my achievement and hope to repeat it more often with some financial support.” He also mentioned a few words about his mother Parvathamma and brother Rajesh. He said, “I owe it to my mother Parvathamma and brother Rajesh who have been my piers of support,” he added.

G Balakrishna says he is big fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger Hollywood actor turned politician. He is popularly known as the ‘Arnold Schwarzenegger of Whitefield’ who resides in Whitefield neighbourhood of Begalurur. Balakrishna also won Mr. Universe Under-24 junior contest in the year 2013 held in Germany. In 2014 he was crowned Mr. Universe title in the same category at the world championship in Athens, Greece in 2014.

He also mentioned about his diet and his daily routine. He told the media that his diet includes 750gm of chicken, 25 egg whites, 300gm of rice, 200gm of vegetables along with fish and fruits. The champion is still sceptical about the funds as he is struggling to get sponsors even after winning championship titles. Balakrishna raised the funds for the competition with the help of Whitefield Settlers & Residents Association and businessman Koshy Varghese.
