The govt. of India has banned the Rs 500 and 1000 notes all over the country earlier this week. This was a very bold and major move by Narendra Modi government ever since it came to power. The government introduced new 2000, 500 rupee notes which are being circulated in the country now. One can exchange their old notes at all the banks across India but there is limit of Rs 4000 at a time.
The new 2000, 500 notes are also avaiable now but people are finding it hard to identify the notes. There were reported incidents where some fake new notes were being used at some places. One should be careful while exchanging these notes, make sure you’re exchanging the new 2000, 500 notes and not any fake ones.
